Les Vergers is located on the middle slopes of Chassagne-Montrachet on stony limestone soils. The name refers to the orchards that were located here before the expansion of the vineyards.

Its mid-slope position gives the wine a balance between a fuller structure and freshness. In Bruno Colin's offerings, Les Vergers therefore stands between the more restrained Les Chaumées, which lies above it, and the more powerful Premier Cru wines from the southern part of the village. Its character is not based on a single strong pole, but on a balanced combination of depth, energy, and the ability to age further.
