Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir comes from plots in Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis, among which the Maison lists the lieux-dits Au Prunier and Grands-Champs. Their location at the foot of the slopes gives this regional wine a clear connection to the northern part of the Côte de Nuits.

The wine is produced under the Maison Laroze de Drouhin brand, the négociant branch of the family's Domaine Drouhin-Laroze. The family purchases whole grapes from selected growers and then conducts the vinification in its own cellar in Gevrey-Chambertin. Eighteen months of aging in oak barrels that previously held one wine promotes depth and a fine structure without overshadowing the Pinot Noir character. Bourgogne Côte d’Or thus represents a natural introduction to the Maison Laroze de Drouhin range.
